Scarred By Truth are a collective of musicians based in the North East of England with a passion for writing music regarding the state of the world today. Greed and corruption; control through poverty; homelessness and heartache; mental health and social media; everything that leads and misleads. There are no sub genres to define or ring fence them... there is just music with a message. Lies Hurt: We are Scarred By Truth The creation and current line up… Formed in 2019 by Deej Lake (Vocals/Guitars) and Mike Todd (Bass/Guitars), both wanted to create music and talk about the things that they see and hear every day; the things that mark our psyche and mar our souls; the things that prevent us being who we want to be and achieving what we want; the lies and misinformation in our media, and to expose those who tell them... Scarred By Truth is a cooperative. With this, the various musicians move freely in and out of the band ensuring fresh new ideas. As stated, they "don't do sub genres... we are genre fluid"; and they do not limit what they can do and how they do it. One thing is for sure... Scarred by Truth is loud, heavy, and ready to impart the truth to all.
